The Danesbase is a register of all people born in Denmark since the first church records of births and baptisms were introduced. Based on all the entered born records from the church registers, the persons are inserted into the Danesbase automatically as soon as the dataentry is made. All people in the Danskerbase get their own identification number - almost like a danish CPR number - and other events such as confirmation, marriage, census, death rolls and deaths are linked to the same person. It will not only show a timeline for all people born in Denmark, but also show the family relationships such as parents, spouses and children. In essence, you can say it is a family tree for the entire family 'Denmark'.
A large part of the work of creating the people in the Danesbase and linking different events is done automatically by the database via 'Machine Learning', but not all events can be linked automatically. Human eyes must be placed on many of the affiliations, which is why the Danesbase is a project at Danish Family Search in which all members can participate.
First of all, it is about getting as many births entered at Danish Family Search. Born people entered are automatically created by the system as a new person. Then it is a matter of associating all the other events that concern the same person. This is done directly via the display of the records on Danish Family Search. It will also be possible to proofread all the people and the associations made, as mistakes will certainly occur when a person or event is associated with a completely different person. Superusers and specially selected members of Danish Family Search will have the opportunity to edit both people and events as they are stored in the Danesbase.
