Indexing of Names
Indexing of names is about getting as many names entered from the old church records, census data, Military levying rolls and whatever there might exist of old documents. Once the names are entered into the database, they are available on the search page. If someone finds an indexed name in a search and press the button for more details, then the original document where the name is written is displayed. It is then up to the user to read the rest of the document. Indexing is a quick and easy method to get many names made searchable, and we hope that many more will help in this exciting project, and thus get as much indexed as possible.

Assign people to the original censuses
The trascription of censuses has been around for many years but there has never been a direct link between each person and the original source. This project aims to make that connection. When the search function has come up with a match, the original census page is also available to view. This means each found person, can be verified in against the original census

Categorization of profession
What were the normal professions in the 18 century? How were the different types of professions distributed across the country? How many doctors were in rural parishes vs towns? This project aims to categorize the different professions. In the 1801 census the following professions were found: sailors, Skipper, Mate, Boatswain, seafaring, etc. These can all be categorized as sailors. The project also opens the possibility that one can look at certain types of professions eg. Who was the Mayor in Vejle County in the period 1840-1850.
